SENIOR MASSAGE BY TWIN LAKES COLLEGE
Tuesdays by appointment, 1:30 or 2:30 pm
Fall Quarter: October 7 - November 4


Beginning students practice what they are learning in massage school, under professional supervision. Massage is conducted in a one-room setting. Students will practice light Swedish, Acupressure, Energywork or other modality (no deep tissue or full body massages).
Pre-registration is required.
Appointments will be taken beginning September 23.

INTRODUCTION TO T'AI CHI AND CHIKUNG
Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. - Noon

T'ai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise system benefitting the internal organs and joints. Taught by Dale Strawhacker, a licensed acupuncturist with nearly 20 years of experience with T'ai Chi.

This ongoing class is fun and good exercise. If you think you know what line dance is, you haven't joined this class! No partner needed! Just come on in and dance! Taught by Judy Zwerling and Judi Cobb.

SENIOR COMPUTER CENTER OF SANTA CRUZ

The Senior Computer Center of Santa Cruz offers members (55 and up) the opportunity to learn and use Macintosh and IBM-compatible computers. Courses are taught by volunteer instructors at the Louden Nelson Community Center.

Membership benefits include use of the computer lab during scheduled sessions and eligibility to register for a variety of courses. Lab facilities include 14 computers, color scanners and printers, and internet access. Membership is $25 per year. Scholarships are available.

Introductory and intermediate classes are offered each session on both Macintosh and PC computers. For a limited time, classes are free to members.

TRIPS

Parks and Recreation bus trips depart from and return to the Louden Nelson Community Center, 301 Center Street. Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled time. Free parking permits are available for permit areas of Maple and Washington Streets, and the Police Station lot.

Specific trip information is available through Parks and Recreation's online registration service, instaReg. Registration may also be done online if you have an account set up and know your Account and PIN #, or through the Parks and Recreation Registration office, 420-5270. LUNCH AT THE CARNATION CAFÉ

A delicious lunch is served Monday-Friday at noon in the dining room to persons 60 years and up. Stop by and pick up a calendar complete with menu and special activities that happen at lunch. Advance reservations are recommended. Suggested donation of $2.50. Transportation is available. Call 427-0901 one day ahead by 1:00 p.m.

Blood pressure checks are provided on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:30-noon. No appointment is necessary. This service is provided compliments of Project SCOUT. FREE.

HEALTH INSURANCE COUNSELING AND ADVOCACY PROGRAM (HICAP) APPOINTMENTS

Trained counselor available every Wednesday, by appointment, 1:15 and 2:30 pm. Evaluation of Medicare supplemental insurance, HMOs, long term care insurance and claims assistance. Call 462-5510 for appointment. FREE.
